Role And Responsibilities

• Is recognized by peers as a thought leader in the Business Intelligence and Big Data architecture space
• Serve in client-facing role designing and delivering Analytics solutions and support Account and Sales pursuits to secure Consulting and Solution sales for Analytics
• Responsible for providing a detailed technical design for enterprise solutions in the Big Data and Analytics space
• Provides advanced technical consulting and advice to proposal efforts and solution design
• Develops new methods of solution design and delivery to apply to situations
• Acts as an advisor to customer senior Information Technology (IT) leadership and sets strategic direction for customers based on DXC’s solutions and products in the Big Data and Analytics space
• Demonstrates ability to provide thought leadership around Big Data, data warehouse data and structures
• Collaborate with Sales, Accounts and Delivery to identify growth opportunities and leads the Analytics solutions
  
  

Education and Competencies

• Master degree required
• English business fluent
• At least >5 years of experience in Business Intelligence/Big Data solution design
• At least > 2 years of experience in Big Data architecture and technologies
• At least > 7 years of professional experience in consulting
• A deep understanding of Analytics and Data Management portfolio of services and solutions with focus on BI and Big Data in the cloud (AWS or Azure)
• Able to lead facilitated sessions with business and technology representatives in order to design and/or modify various Big Data/Analytics solutions
• Strong business and communication skills. Able to communicate in business terms and turn requirements into applicable solutions
• Extensive experience in creating data models in a large scale data warehousing environment
• Must have solid understanding of relational database design fundamentals
• Is aware of the capabilities and limitations of database technologies like (Hadoop, Vertica, SAP HANA, Greenplum, Netezza, , Exadata, MongoDB )
• Experience integrating with enterprise BI platforms such as Spotfire, Tableau, QlikView, MicroStrategy, Business Objects, Cognos, etc…
• Experience with ETL tools like Talend, Pentaho, Informatica
• Experience either on Azure or AWS data warehousing or Big Data implementations
• Demonstrated ability to develop clear understandings of customers’ needs and the ability to incorporate them into an Analytics solution
• Highly motivated and strong performer who drives opportunities and solutions
• Team player who is willing to act as a coach/mentor for junior staff

THE ROLE – RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and conduct complex data analysis
• Apply predictive and descriptive analytics techniques: machine learning/deep learning/natural language processing/time series analysis
• Develop data manipulation and data visualization solutions
• Translate the needs of the client, apply creative thinking to problems
• Improve and expand the current data science solutions portfolio
• Drive change by staying up to date with the data science trends and technologies

THE ROLE – REQUIREMENTS

• 2+ years’ experience in a similar role
• Python, including experience with pandas, sci-kit learn, numpy, tensorflow etc.
• Proficient in SQL
• Knowledge of R, Alteryx, MS Excel / VBA, Tableau / QlikView will be considered
• Familiar with data science techniques: time series, clustering, segmentation, k-means, hierarchical clustering, tree-based methods, neural networks, etc.
• Familiar with natural language processing techniques: symbolic methods, word embeddings, topic modelling etc.
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Good communication skills with the ability to develop strong client relationships

We are looking for an Artificial Intelligence Software Engineer to become part of the project team for a customer from the Aviation Defence Industry.

The projects of interest address the topic of security solutions from the Defence domain. Their focus is on solving complex problems by processing and analysing data using dedicated algorithms.

The ideal candidate should have experience in both Software Development and Artificial Intelligence domains. The job implies not only the research of various algorithms, but also the implementation of those algorithms as back-end components, sometimes with a high level of complexity, in line with the project expectations.

Candidates with Data Scientists profile are also encouraged to apply.

Experience with Python is mandatory.

Tasks & accountabilities:

As part of the team, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Work together with the team to design and develop various algorithms and features to solve specific problems addressed by on-going projects
• Research Artificial Intelligence topics and implement solutions for dedicated problems. The problems to be addressed are either specific - like object detection, person detection and tracking – or more generic and complex, like implementing a full set of algorithms to fulfill dedicated use cases
• Research and design Deep Learning architectures using dedicated frameworks
• Apply Machine Learning algorithms on large sets of data in order to make predictions or optimize systems
• Design and implement stand-alone back-end software components to ensure the expected execution of dedicated algorithms, as defined by project expectations
• Define and calculate measurements for algorithms accuracy and performance
• Analyse high level requirements and design, in order to propose feasible technical solutions, in line with the project expectations. Ensure the solutions are complete, correct and defined from an operational standpoint
• Collaborate with other teams to integrate back-end components with other components within the system
• Ensure the best quality in the dedicated field of expertise
• Build and develop effective cross-functional team working
• Based on business needs, travel outside the country (in Europe) may be required

Requirements:

The successful applicant should have the following skills and experience:

Mandatory

• Strong knowledge on Artificial Intelligence principles and algorithms
• Proven experience with at least one Deep Learning framework (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Caffe, etc.)
• Knowledge on Deep Learning architectures
• Strong experience with Python
• Proven experience in Software Development
• Overall knowledge on Software Development principles and methodologies
  Nice to have
• Experience in using Cloud infrastructure
• Computer Vision algorithms / experience with image processing
